Every major UK driving offence and exactly how it affects your visa, ILR, or British citizenship.
All court driving convictions must be declared on immigration applications. Fixed penalty notices (FPNs) for minor speeding that do NOT result in a court appearance generally do not need to be declared.
Foreign licence rule: If your licence is from outside the EU/EEA, you may drive in the UK for up to 12 months. After that you must exchange it at DVLA or pass the UK driving test. Driving beyond 12 months on a foreign licence is a criminal offence (LC20).
General educational information only. Always consult a criminal solicitor if charged with any driving offence, and an immigration adviser before applying for any immigration status.
